Crosley Radio CR6005A-MA Tech Turntable (Mahogany)

Tin Can, I had hopes of hearing my old records again--well, not with this piece of electronica. The sound was like a penny in a tin can. I sent it back immediately. Don't waste your time and money.
Very Cheap, (What's this?) A very low quality product. I'm afraid it might damage my records. Everything works but it is very cheaply made. It is OK as an AM/FM tuner and the MP3 in line works fine. The speakers are not very loud. If your just getting into vinyl like I am, then save up for a better turntable. I guess you get what you pay for.
ouch!, Secretly wanted a turntable for Christmas, but was cautiously optimistic. Got this Crosley thing. Immediately I was bothered by the lack of weight. (First sign of cheapness.) I put it together exactly as instructed and tried to play a record. The platter would not spin. Called customer service and waited on hold for 10-15 minutes. Finally some gal comes on and tells me that the belt probably came off during shipment (?). Okay I said. May I try to fix it? She said yes. I was skeptical because the platter was showing some resistance to turning indicating either the belt was on or the bearing was bad. Took it apart and reinstalled belt. Nothing. Tried it again. Nothing. Ok, this time I left the platter off and just plugged it in and tried to turn it on (moving the tone arm to the right until you hear a 'click' (?)). Just as I thought the motor did not even rotate. Called and stayed on hold for another 15 minutes. This gal said she could have a technician call me and I could delve further. Told her no, just give me an RA and I could return it. She said 'NO'. I would need to have my wife call whatever web site she bought it from to deal with the return (?). I scored this unit a single star because there was nothing lower to rate it by. If you want sorry customer service, cheap plastic, poorly made, and unreliable, buy one of these. It looks as though it is worth approximately 35.00 at the most.
So disappointing, I was so excited to get this turntable for Christmas and couldn't wait to dig out my old records from storage. Right away I could tell that the turntable itself (not the record) was not balanced and made any record I played sound warped. Also, the sound is very tiny, not a great speaker. Well it's been less than a year since I've had this turntable and now the record player part doesn't work at all! only the stereo. What a bummer, wish we would have done more research before buying this item.
Poor Quality, I saw one of these at Target in the box...half-price (40.00) due to it being a return and a product the store doesn't carry. I asked them if I could open it to check the quality before I purchased it. You can not only keep it at half-price, but I wouldn't even give you half of that. Extremely poor quality...something like an old child's turntable.

Anyone young enough to remember what real turntables were like may not notice the difference, but anyone who does will not like the quality of this product. All other models of Crosley that they had in the store were just as bad.
Good Price-A Lemon Product, Because of the specs on everything this product would do, I bought it. The price was right, but I got what I paid for. A piece of junk. When it arrived, I read the instruction manual and put it through its paces...well, almost. The screen was difficult if not impossible to read even with the lights off.The speaker sound was chintzy...remember the old transitor ratios from the 60's ? My main goal in buying this was to use the audio outputs ( RCA type jacks ) to connect to my stereo system which then connects to my computer.
GREAT!, This record player was exactly as described and works great! My 17yo son loves it! I love that it is compact and retro yet modern looking. The input for an iPod is a nice additional feature.
Works Great!, (What's this?) This was a gift for someone special who loves old-fashioned stuff. He loved it!!!
Who knew music sounded clearer on a record player. Anyways, its I-Pod compatible which I have yet to check out, but you can also plug in speakers for more sound. It's great! And it's also small, which I liked.
Crosley Radio CR6005A, Plain and Simple this product is a "Piece of Junk". Received it as a gift. Unpacked it and threw it in the garbage after playing with it for 20 min. Cheap construction. Cheap feel. Cheap Sound.
Great Record Player for the Price, (What's this?) I saw alot of bad reviews for this Record Player and I still bought it. I was good for the price. People said that it broke right away cause they didn't read the instructions. Read Instructions!! My record player plays smoothly and sounds great! If your tight on money I recommend this player. Speakers aren't very loud but it has a stereo output and I have it plugged in to my sound system. The lid does close when you are playing records but cause its small the record sticks out on sides.
